Quadqurve EQ, zoom spectrum analysis?
Is this something new in the new Sonar platinum? And if so, any more details?

I know about the flyout EQ. But when I see the comparison chart, I see that zoom spectrum analysis is just for the platinum version. Just wondering what the zoom means. Is it a new feature?

As far as I can see, the "zoom" feature is the flyout EQ, it was part of X3 Producer. Also, it looks like the spectrum analysis is only included in Sonar Platinum (and previously X3 Producer). Other Sonar versions only have the Quad Curve flyout EQ, but not the spectrum analysis.

It looks to me like the Quad EQ neither flies out (zooms) nor analyzes in Professional. Some of us are waiting for an answer on the specific differences of the EQ between Professional and Platinum, especially for those who would be upgrading from X3P in which it does fly out.

To make the flyout exclusive to Platinum would really suck. I can't see why any company would intentionally hobble a feature that lots of people really like. I would have to go with Platinum just to keep the flyout.

The silence on the part of Cakewalk is somewhat deafening. I believe Professional has been officially compared to Studio, which didn't have the fly-out EQ. So until further notice, I think it's appropriate to assume that the fly-out EQ / analyzer is a Platinum-only feature.
