Staff View - note duration icons.

Please restore note value icons to staff .

1 eighth, quarter notes (american note values) are not so common over here where minim, crotchet icons are universal.

2. Increased functionality in touch ... when you want a quaver or crotchet you select it similar to steprecord box and simply place on musical stave!
really don't understand why Cakewalk hid note values since it restricts workflow.

Please! this can be done quite easily and requires zero effort since Ben Staton did this with his free Sonar x1plus years ago!!

You can use SONARMods Duckbar to get note value icons appear in Staff View and Piano Roll.
I know it's unofficial 3rd party workaround but it works for me. :)

I suggest everybody to request Cakewalk to make similar icons natively. It took a couple of hours from me to make this feature and because Bakers don't need to do any tricks from outside Sonar, they should be able to implement this in two hours with testing included. :)

I agree. I prefer to have the notes where they were in previous versions. Please put them back on there bar. There is plenty of space.

Since its been over a year in regards to this request...   just wanted to ask why this may not have been implemented?

    since it is....

    i) Easier for touch screen users.
    ii) Quite easy to implement.
iii) Removes unneeded navigation of the toolbars sub menus.
    iv) Speeds up workflow.
    v) It was an original feature which functioned great.
vi) Removes language barriers (minim = half notes).... )I teach in welsh and a quarter note is called a "Crosiet".

This is basic is functionality and accessibility requirement needed to use to Score View

Says a lot that I start my initial projects in Sonar 8.5 and then move them to SPLAT...

Waste of time this part of the forum. Pretty much no interaction for cakewalk staff on idea, the only thing I can think of that has been implemented has be the ability to record synths real time.

What else has come out of it in the past 2 years. And they say they listen to us, because we get a Mac version.

Yet staff still remains at the top of their "features" page, despite being neglected for a decade
