Force Softsynths To Load In the Multidock?
Hello Everyone,
Is there a way to force a soft synth VST window to show in the multidock instead of a standalone window? Thank you, Adam

Drag the plugin into the Multidock is the easiest way.

That's what I am trying to avoid every time! :)

I don't think it is possible to automatically open a plug-in UI in the dock. Here is an autohotkey script to dock the currently focused window bound to the key combination Windows+d #d:: MouseClick,Left,17,17 Send,{Down 8}{Enter} Return

Not sure we are on the same page here. I am talking about the actual synth window! You know, when you double-click on a synth in the rack, it pops up the VST application over Sonar? I want them to go DIRECTLY to the multidock.

I understood the problem as opening plug-in UIs in the dock rather than floating windows. The script I provided will work for any floating window with a "Dock in Multidock" option.

One way to do this if you use the same softsynth in multiple projects is to create a template with it already set up, and then use that template for new projects. I have one that is set up for Addictive Drums that I use a lot.

We were on the same page I just don't know of a way to do what you want within Sonar. So I was suggesting alternative ways of managing the plugins.
Seems scook has a method which he was obviously typing at the same time as me.

"autodock plugins" would be a good feature request, might want to suggest it in the feature request forum... I do end up doing this a lot. Quickest for me is just to right click on the plug in header and select "dock"

You need to download and install autohotkey. I have autohotkey start up at boot time and have modified the default script which loads from my user account to add stuff like the above script so that it is always available. I would recommend you spend some time with the help file.
