Thank you Cakewalk for a Great Product AND a Most Excellent Forum
In 2001 my wife and I purchased a Cirrus SR22 airplane for our businesses. ($149K/year to upgrade and you have to trade in last years model :-). There is a member funded forum that Cirrus owners use (COPA) that costs $50/year to be a member. (Cirrus does not have a forum WEB site for it's "users"). So when you think about the $149 to upgrade Sonar, factor in this very helpful WEB site. Walt

I've been a Cakewalk user and installer for several different studios since 1998! I have never had such an effortless installation of any DAW as I have had with Platinum. I only had to install Platinum and the Craig Anderton content. That took all of 15 minutes! I hopped over to XLN and got my Producer's Bundle items. The whole process took maybe an hour! HATS OFF TO THE BAKERS!!!!!!!! Or as James Brown used to say, "GOOD GAWD!!!!!!"

yep but sometime people go fast in the forum ..i just checked a thread today by a guy named Nino Vargas ..smile on my face i went in ...why ? cause it's one of my 3 years ago students at the SAE , he discovered Sonar (ableton user) and jumped in the waggon since !! He 's not very comunicative and limited in english , he bought all X series , a VS 100 , VS 700 ect ....and he was labeled a troll just because he's not the type of guy to expand , or maybe beacuse as he's a DJ also , don't have a lot of time some time when he post (usually via FB) and phone ...or maybe because he has few posts ... he was exited about the release ..also and shared it on FB with other students that use it !! He went out and via facebook :" woah , cakewalk forums guyz are like going to war " ... It made me smile but guyz sometime jump to quik on others based on post numbers , limited argumenation ect .... Be carefull my dear friends i remeber the first time i went here , i was welcomed and backed by jhon , Bapu ,Cj , Ol pal ect ...and it was what made me stay , CJ even joked about my way of writting english in the way that it made me smile also ...like if i recall : i was like , we need this and that ect ...he was like we need some to decode your posts lol Anyway +1 on the good move from the bakers ...

Was it John or Jhon Zo. I try to judge members by what they write. I try not to be too judgmental that I miss an important point. I can't always be right but I do try. Notice in that thread I only gave my feeling for Platinum. No comment was made about the OP. One big reason is I didn't understand him. If I don't understand a post how can one comment about it?

Now I am confused. In the last paragraph you list members that were welcoming to you. If I was one I'm very glad but you spelled Jhon. Not sure thats me or not.

I have yet to have an upgrade experience with Sonar that has been "painless"...so for those of who you have - GREAT...but don't condemn others for their REAL WORLD experience!!! Just because YOUR experience was painless doesn't mean someone else's wasn't! We all have different systems with different interfaces, and different sound cards, and different programs installed, that may or may not interfere! SO PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS and STOP calling people trolls! YOU have the option of IGNORING a post if you don't like it...but let people speak their minds and be kind....That's what I'm saying...just say...I didn't have a problem and let it go...because NONE Of US know EVERYTHING....believe it or not! Thanx!

I don't believe anyone here has call anyone a troll for not having an easy time of installing. I don't think anyone would. Thus I'm not sure what you are complaining about Larry.

Well I need to chime in. Got he upgrade yesterday and had to call support for support. lHad to wait one minute and then got the help I needed to get the problem resolved. I think that is great servic! I'm very happy. Now I just need to spend the time to learn it.
