Hi, would be helpful for all to know your operating system and sonar version etc. Have you tried the WDM driver? Is there anything in particular you are using/doing at the time that gives you audio dropouts/crashes? The more info the better. Bibs

ok, well im sure others will chime in, but in sonar preferences under MIDI - Playback and recording, what are your playback buffers set to? Also under audio sync and caching, what are your playback IO and record IO set to? As i mentioned before, its worth trying WDM drivers purely to rule out a problem with the ASIO driver. My octacapture works solidly with WDM but not ASIO, not the same for all, but id try that first.

i have a quad capture and i love it because what it replaced, the Tascam us-144, was terrible & its drivers were a NIGHTMARE for me. are you using any 32 bit plugins in bridge mode? bridged 32 bit plugins seem to cause a lot of crashes

Just select WDM/KM in preferences instead of ASIO. It will either work better or not. Worth a go. My octa crashed a lot when i was using kontakt with asio. Since switching its been perfect. I also get a better round trip latency, so for me the manufacturers driver (asio) doesnt work as well for my workflow.

try upping them to 512. (mine work best at 1024) Also try changing the midi buffers in prefs from default 250 millisecs to 500 ..
