Mixer with Adat Lightpipe interface?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a USD500<16-input mixer that has an ADAT (Lightpipe) interface built in?

Thanks,

Vic

they are discontinued but you may be able to pick one up from ebay etc.

Do some searching for Yamaha 01V over at eBay, think I've seen some for around 5-600 USD, and these are GOOD mixers....
But be aware that they aren't 24 bit 96KHz compatible..

Five hundred bucks is pretty short money. There are going to be compromises in quality from stem to stern.

Any comments on the Behringer DDX3216? It's much more than USD500, but it's got 32 channels, and the ADAT interface in still an option.

I know it's a Behringer and a lot of people don't like the brand....so is it worth considering?

I've had 2...I started out with a Fostex VM200 which is a great little digital mixer with 8 ADAT channels, flying faders and fx processors.
I now have the Behringer DDX3216. I paid $500 for it brand new. Talk about bang for your buck!
Too many features to list, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it if you need a digital mixer with ADAT.

How does the Behringer mixer "sound"?

Btw., $500 sounds like a terrific price. How much does the ADAT add-on cost?

Ramsa DA7. I sold mine with three adat cards for a little over $700.00 and although it is slightly out of your range, you may want to keep saving. It's a pretty amazing console and still has a strong following.

Yeah...it was a great price. I think it was a blow out price as they don't seem to be available in the U.S. anymore,
but you can still get the MSRP for other countries at Behringers web site, so I don't know...
It came with the TDIF interface but I got the 16 channel ADAT for $150.
As far as how does it sound, you can check out some of my tunes in my sig, but it sounds transparent to me...I get out what I put in.
Mind you, I don't have any experience with boards costing thousands of dollars as I just have a home studio setup where I do all the playing and engineering,
but for me, it's everything I need and then some.

I'll check and see if Behringer has a follow-up to the DDX3216. Thanks.
