Display length of current selection

Hi-

I know the math is relatively simple, but I would still like to see the length of the current selection displayed somewhere and when I'm dragging from point A to point B, I'd like to see the Selection updated dynamically.  As it is, the Selection From/Thru times don't update until I've finished selecting them.

I guess that's two FRs, but they're closely related.

Thanks-

-Susan

Thanks for the votes so far!  Bumping this because I don't know how to keep it visible otherwise...

We need to be able to see the length of a selection at a glance 2016/07/16 16:40:43 (permalink)

I often need to know the length of a selection I've made in Samples, etc.

Right now the only way to do this is to convert the selection to a CLIP, go to the clip properties in Inspector, and then reverse the process in order to re-connect the selection to the original clip.

PLEASE find a way to just have the length of any selection show up somewhere? For example in the event inspector on the toolbar or somewhere similar.

Nice idea.  Needed when making a soundtrack that must be a specific length.  Examples:  music snippets for sound libraries or backing tracks for commercials.
