Once you go archtop/semi-hollow...
It's hard to go back to smaller, solid body guitars. :/ These days, I can't seem to put the Riviera down. In addition to the Riviera and its 3 P90's, if I had the money, I'd be curious to try a Sheraton. The combination of the ES type of body with humbuckers is suddenly very appealing. In a perfect world, it'd also come with a Bigsby. Then I guess it's only a matter of time until I find myself drooling over one of these... It's like a whole new world of possibilities. To think I thought I was done when I got the SG...

I love my arch top! It's the same for me. Once I have played on it for a while it's hard to go back to the other guitars. I play faster and cleaner on the arch top

Not only do I love playing the Dot, but it is light weight to hang on your shoulder and it still records the best out of all my guitars.

+1 on a Sheraton. I have a 90s model, very nice to play, great sound.

Mike - The Dot is also on my list. I guess the reasons why I'd favour the Sheraton are mainly cosmetics - I am a sucker those inlays and the headstock. Took me a while to really get into it. Bad shoulder prevented me from playing it as much as I wanted for months. I'd made adjustments when I got it, but I had to play it and get used to it, at which point I re-adjusted it and ever since, it's just so smooth - plus, it sings like nothing else.

Understood Rain. Lucille is still one of the finest looking guitars of all time in my book.
One of the best decisions I have ever made was to have my Epi Dot professionally set up the minute I bought her. It just plays so nice and effortless. I finally got a 490r pickup to drop in the neck as well, to compliment the Classic 57 plus in the bridge, she is just a joy to listen to.

I had a luthier who took care of all my guitar, whom I'd got in touch with through his wife who worked on the show w/ my wife. He made wonders for my two Les Paul's, and did some fine tuning on my SGJ after I got it. Unfortunately, they relocated to California last year. I think I did a fine basic job, and fortunately for me, the guitar came from AMS' Nevada warehouse, so it wasn't subjected to any drastic climate/humidity change after I received it. I'm worthless when it comes to doing things like truss rod adjustments or switching pick ups, so for now I'm crossing fingers. I know plenty of musicians here so I guess eventually I'll hook up with someone who'll recommend someone.
