External MIDI Clock - Off Beat

I have my controller set to External MIDI Clock. MIDI Sync is on in Sonar and outputting to my controller. I'm using the built in Note Repeat function with Time Divisions on my controller for rolling Hats, but it's late in responding to Time Division changes and it's noticeably off beat. Could use some help with this, thanks in advance.
 
EDIT:  Figured it out, default Swing on the controller had to be changed.
