Color flexibility being considered? Asking Cakewalk - others please do not respond.
I started a thread on this before but I want this to be clean, considerate and kind. I will very kindly appreciate any response to my original question as to whether there are color options in the works for the next year or so. Please let me know if there are color changes in the works - i.e. where I can lock in the color of a track so that when I record new clips I do not have to manually change their colors. If it is not being considered - ok - I just will not expect it and be happy with what I have. I love Cakewalk. I started with Mastertracks Pro in 1990 when I used tape machines and then went straight to Cakewalk in the mid 90s and have been with Cakewalk ever since. I have sold CDS all around the world. I have tried other DAWS and I do not like any of the others better or even close. I use midi and audio and Cakewalk rocks!!! THANKS TONS!!!

I think starting multiple threads on the same topic, particularly one where you attempt to exclude all but cakewalk staff, is not only awkward, but sets a horrible expectation. I appreciate them answering questions, but I also understand that some questions are not so black and white. I'm sure appearance is always something open to being worked on even if there is no specific major change specifiec this second. Answering yes leaves them open to being hounded about it. Saying no leaves them open to potshots about not listening. If you want your own conversation with staff, it seems more direct to pm a staff member instead of demanding your own private thread on a public forum.

I am trying to have a clean thread here. The other thread became convoluted with promotion of another product. That is the reason I asked for only Cakewalk reps to respond, to avoid the hijacking of the thread. This issue keeps on coming up, so they may have an answer such as they will let us know in the coming months, it is of concern to them, there are other issues that are more of a priority, whatever. Transparency in business is a good thing, especially when asked to buy a subscription. Thanks for your input.

Maybe subscription is not the word. I get emails from Cakewalk to upgrade. I would be paying and then there may be updates later. I am trying to find out if a color flexibility update is a high priority or a low priority. I am ready to give up on this. Apparently, I will get a number of responses, that none that really tell me what the plans are of the Cakewalk people. If they do not want to share the plans, fine. If they do, I am only asking.

You may be better off asking them directly as this is a user forum and not a support page if you know what i mean.

Let me be clear, I am not objecting to the new payment system. I trust that it is fair. That is not what this thread is about. It is about the initial question. If you do not know the answer, then simply do not respond. If Cakewalk knows the answer and wants to respond they can. If not, I will call them. THANKS.

I would contact them direct rather than via public forums otherwise you will get people like me posting all over you thread :)
If you are actually asking for a schedule from the Bakers I'd be surprised if you get the droids you are looking for..
You are better off voting in the features and ideas forum, that will increase priority I suspect.
