Peavy Revalver 4

I got this free with my recent AD account.  It doesn't use an iLok and I wish it did. You have to use a USB stick to use it. So if you have an iLok and eLicenser that one more stick in the slots. At least with Waves I can't transfer the license via the cloud to use them on other machines. Peavy gives a big warning about losing your stick.
 I'll probably remove Revalver.

III.V did not have this type of protection scheme. I went around with them as they changed the requirements for 4 but did not publish it until after I had purchased it. They are convinced this is what everyone wants so it probably is not going to change and I won't be spending any more of my money with them.

BTW, it does not require a usb stick specifically but must be tied to some type of usb device. I have one license on a usb stick and another license tied to my usb babyface audio interface.

There are plenty of other Good Amp Sims out there that does not use this type of license scheme.

    Purrrfect Audio DAW here.  Wow!...

Actually, if I recall, you can use any USB device.  I used my audio interface since it was always plugged in anyway.

That being said, I uninstalled Revalver after five minutes after learning that version only came with one amp.

Jon is correct.  ANY USB device can be designated.  It doesn't have to be an iLok or an eLicenser, or even
a USB Flash Drive.  It can be ANY usb device, included MIDI Keyboards, etc...

I dunno...    I like Revalver 4, it provides good sustain with my strat, better than most amp sims I've tried, and seems to have a nice round tone even when driven.  I just leave a spare USB flash drive plugged in and I'm good to go.  That said, I haven't sprung for anything from their amp store since I wanted to also spend some time with Craig's new amp sims in Platinum.

Any USB device not named iLok or eLicenser.
