[Solved] Channel confusion?

I set up a MIDI track and assign it to say a virtual guitar but when I press controller keys I get drums along with the guitar. Can anyone tell me how to fix it? I'm sure it's something to do with what MIDI channel I'm using but I can't figure it out.

+1 on the above - with only the midi input echo button turned 'on' for the midi track for the instrument you wish to hear, that should prevent any other midi sounds from triggering from other midi tracks.
 
Sonar, by default, has itself set to automatically turn midi input echo off/on as you bring a midi track into focus or out of focus when you click on a different midi track.  So, whichever midi track is highlighted should be the only only with input echo on turned 'On'.  If you have manually clicked on one or more of those buttons on other tracks, Sonar believes you intended to also hear those, and will NOT automatically turn those on/off.
 
So, this should not be a big deal - just make sure to click on the midi track for the instrument you really want to hear, and make sure you don't have other midi track's midi input echo on buttons turned on.  If they ARE, simply click them off, leaving just the one for the midi track you want in focus (the one you want to hear).
