My reg code for AD2 tells me I've got AD2 Demo?

Using the XLN online installer, I went to register my AD2 producer code.  It registered the code, but under "my products" it only shows AD1 installed and AD2 DEMO.

Do I need to uninstall AD1 first?  If I try to re-register the code, it tells me it's already registered to my account.

uninstalling AD1 does nothing.  I logged out and back in no change.

This sounds familiar from when I installed Platinum. Do you have any ADPacks for AD2? Try downloading Fairfax 1 demo. I think my AD2 said demo and would not show up in Sonar unless an ADPack is installed.

OK, I've added fairfax and it shows up, but is that the only kit you get with AD2?  In which case I may go back to AD1 as it had 4 kits and some presets already setup.

XLN needs to really clarify this mess.  I think they seriously screwed up and made this much more complicated than it should be.

To get the AD2, you register as you did.  But there will be no "install AD2".  AD2 gets installed or whatever when you pick and then install the 3 ADPAKS.  The installation of the AD paks is what updates AD1 to AD2.

And yes, I believe AD1 kits only work with AD1 (and AD2 with AD2).   This and the above have sorta turned me off AD.   I also dont like their "2 computer" reg code installer, and lack off line installer.  The 2 computer reg is now used up and reg to my ONE computer it's installed on.

Thanks, that did it.  Yes that was very confusing, there was nothing I saw initially that showed me I was supposed to be selecting the AD packs.

Exactly.  Would take about one sentence on the reg page to say:  "oh, btw, the AD1 gets updated to AD2 when you install the ADpaks".   And also I don't get why I had to pick all three ADPaks.  I wanted to check out the Jazz 1 before I bot Jazz 2, and I still didn't know what OTHER one to pick.  I had to just go ahead and pick all - why?

I'm guessing it's because it's packaged as a bundle, but I too would've liked to get one at a time. I actually listened closely to all the ones I was interested in and then chose my 3.
