I need some guidance as to how to set the project tempo from this clip verify alignment extract midi http://lansing.com/audiotemp/track3.wav Anybody? Anybody? Bueller? Bueller? using Snr Pt 15

Check out this video for tempo extraction. Not sure what you mean by "verify alignment". Extract MIDI is relatively straightforward in Audiosnap. Just specify the note you want to create. The full version of Melodyne is better for MIDI extraction though should you want full pitch info.

I'm getting a tempo of about 96.86 BPM if you consider each repetition of the cycle to be a beat. Beyond that, I would just sit down at the keyboard and record a MIDI track, playing along with the rhythm on some suitable drum kit sounds (or even just silently by feel) for a few measures to find the rhythm within that beat. To me they sound like they'll fall on 16th triplets.... but, then, I'm prone to hear triplets in everything.  Incidentally, I found the "downbeat" to be about 25570 samples into the start of the track, but it looks like I converted a 96kHz WAV to 48kHz on import, so that's 51140 at the native rate.

Yeah, the rate thing was a little confusing. It looked like 44.1x32 (or possibly 88.2 x 16 ) based on 2822kbps rate reported by Windows, but when I dropped it into my ancient copy of CoolEdit, I misread the default target rate as the current rate in the re-sampling dialog.
So make that 23033 samples in. Kind of hard to pick to exact point; the sound's a little wishy-washy.
