A politically incorrect "drinking song"....
This is a simple rewrite/collab. It;s a good old fashioned drinking sing about trying to get over a cheating woman in the bottle. http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=13040458 It was fun to write and record... hope you enjoy. Grab a beverage and kick back for the trip down memory lane. Oh Yeah.... it's called ONE MORE ROUND

Good one Herb . This swings along very nicely, got my toe tappin'. Sweet solo too, could have been twice as long and I wouldn't have minded.

i'm a sucker for pedal steel. LOL couldn't find anywhere to use that sound in any of my own tunes, and i'm not really a fan of C&W style, yet i love listening to this. heheh i think you should lose ALL of the effects on the snare. bone dry. and more 'whack'. dig the performances, nice guitar solo too, nice edge to it.

This is about as honky-tonk as you can get. It's definitely a classic. Herb, you are the gold standard for country music! A textbook case of beautiful guitar tones and witty lyrics.

James, Daryl, Bat, Lynn.... Thanks for listening.... things are going well.... yeah, I love a steel guitar too and since I'm a country writer, I CAN use it.....The Gold Standard for country, you honor me....... someone needs to tell Nashville.... because they sure don't play country like this out there anymore.

Country is not my thing, Herb.....but you certainly do it VERY well. Song mix sounds great. Guitar playing is excellent like always. Sounds like the Tele; great tone. Keys sound really good as well. You did make me thirsty, however.

Great fun tune, Herb. Should be on the radio. That is country music, boy! BTW, this might be my favorite mix coming out of your studio.

Really nice mix on this Herb! Drums sound nice and clean. I'd suggest drying up the verb on the bass just a tad, it booms just a little from it. Everything else rocks, err, swings! Regards, Dan

See, that's what I love about this place..... I put up a song, then leave for a while and when I come back, all sorts of folks have had a chance to belly up to the bar for a good old cheating/drinking country song..... RobertB..... I was thinking Paycheck.... but what do I know.... thanks for listening. Warren.... they don't play real country down there in Nashville anymore..... thanks for the compliment on the mix. Gswitz..... short and sweet comment.... thanks! Dan.... I'll have a look at that bass. Yup, it's a swinger for sure. Thanks for listening. thepogue.... well grab a pint and enjoy. Thanks Wookie... ahhh yes, I do know that you're not a "country kind of guy" so when you comment on some solid country, calling it sweet and nicely polished..... I know I did something right. Thanks my friend.

You are definitely right Herb. There is not real country stuff like this coming out of Nashville anymore. You have really done a great performance on this number. Ya that steel guitar sounds great but you have really put in some tasteful 6 string guitar playing in this one (especially the leads). Really good stuff!!!!
