Where's the Keyboard view in Platinum PRV...and...SOLVED!!

There's nothing in my "init file" box in my preferences section.

How do I get the Piano Keyboard view back on the side of the PRV instead of just numbers??

Drag the divider to the right. I noticed this as a sort of problem that it tends to get small or revert back to a small size. I don't think it has completely disappeared.

If you right-click the keyboard, is the Note Names dialog set to "Use Assigned Instrument Settings"? If not, set that. If so, what is the track's output assigned to? This can affect whether SONAR defaults to showing a keyboard or note numbers.

Thanks brundle (you too, John) it was set to "use assigned inst..." and I changed it to use note names "diatonic" and that did the trick.  Thanks.

Still don't know about the blank ini file thingy tho...

Unless you've manually added parameter settings to Cakewalk.ini at some point or inherited them from an earlier version, I think the default is blank (section headings only with no actual parameters entered).
