Rash Claim!
Cover band in this Dubai bar claim if you request a song they don't know they will learn it for next time.
They seem pretty competent , but "Close to the Edge" ? Should I ask for it.

Maybe Tarkus. Might be tricky seeing the don't have a keyboard player.

Nahhhhh ... have them do Pt 1 of TFTO or Part 2 .... the others are too easy by comparison!
Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Is there an ointment for that kind of claim?

I've routinely made such a claim for years. Sometimes, I tell them to come back after the next break. The contractual trapdoor is that we never promise we'll be able to play it well.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

That was the case with this band's Hotel California. You could tell they just did not want to do it! They were a decent versitile outfit, I had to get up this morning so i did not stay for their second set but I will go back.
