Step sequencer step's parameters trouble

I use drum synth Optic (Psychic Modulation) with Music Creator step sequencer.  When i try to change any step volume (or another thing like step pan, pitch etc.) nothing happens. Is it ordinary? Is SONAR step sequencer have the same behavior? Is there better way to use third-party drum synth in Music Creator?
Thanks in advance!

I can't help with Music Creator, but to answer your question about Sonar, Sonar's step sequencer can send velocity, modulation, pitch bend and any MIDI continuous controller.

    Sonar Platinum 64bit, Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit, I7 3770K Ivybridge, 16GB Ram, Gigabyte Z77-D3H m/board,
ATI 7750 graphics+ 1GB RAM, 2xIntel 520 series 220GB SSDs, 1 TB Samsung F3 + 1 TB WD HDDs, Seasonic fanless 460W psu, RME Fireface UFX, Focusrite Octopre.
Assorted real synths, guitars, mandolins, diatonic accordions, percussion, fx and other stuff.

Thanks for answer. I think it depends. For exampe, Music Creator native drum instrument SI-Drum Kit work with step sequencer better. Important for me volume and pitch work properly, but such parameters as panning and filter cutoff doesn't not work.

Ok. I found that feature. Its 'New value type' menu in controller pane of every single row in sequencer. I try to select NRPN Type in 'Type' and select required value in 'Value'. Great!
