Note Stick in Sonar Platinum using MIDI keyboard?
First off, I apologize if a thread has been posted on this issue I'm having. It's something that only affects Sonar Platinum, and not Sonar X3e.
I tested it with Omnisphere, and Rapture, and it only seems to affect monophonic (1 note at a time) instruments. Leads are a good example of this. I don't know if I used the right word, basically an instrument that when you hold down 1 note, and press another, it'll play the 2nd note, and when you release the 2nd note while still holding the first note, it'll go back to the 1st note.
I load up a monophonic instrument in Rapture (lead), and alternate between two notes rapidly like a trill. At some point, one of the 2 notes will "Stick" as if being held down, even if I let go of the note. In Rapture, pressing the same note will stop the note from sticking, but it doesn't stop it in Omnisphere (at least with the patches I've tried). This only happens in Platinum, and I have not been able to replicate it in X3e. I've also been able to reproduce it by simply playing as many notes as I can as fast as I can in Platinum, and again, it doesn't happen in X3e.
It does not seem to happen when I use piano roll to punch in similar trills. Even if I set the bpm to 600 and add random notes to the piano roll. It only happens when I do it on the midi keyboard, and it generally happens rather quickly. It also only seems to happen with monophonic sounds. Polyphonic instruments do not have notes that stick.
If anyone has experienced this, and has some advice, I appreciate it. I can probably record a video of the issue if it would be helpful. Thank you for your time.
EDIT: I tested something out. I recorded MIDI data of the trill that causes the note to hold, but when I reset the instrument, and play back the same midi data, it does not happen no matter how many times I replay it back. If I play another note during the playback of the recorded midi data, it happens again where one of the notes will freeze until I reset the synth by selecting another patch.
