AD2 and GM issues.

I've asked here a few times and on the XLN forums when they had them about AD playing GM files wrong. I'm really only putting this here in case other less knowledgeable people like me has the same problem... That and see what you more advanced guys have to add. :)

The instructions were straight forward enough, just drop the file in the GM folder and refresh the midi library. I did that a million times and with different files to no avail. Last night I did a search for a fix and found someone talking about a midi mapper app. I downloaded it, converted a file to AD and still nothing.

I just closed AD2 then opened it again to try something different. But, this time without doing anything it played like a champ. So I went to my main computer and tried there thinking somehow the mapper app being installed did something. Nope! Wouldn't play it right. So, I just refreshed the library, closed AD then reopened it. Played it perfectly.

So apparently, the way to get GM files to play right is to restart AD2 after refreshing the library with the files in the GM folder.

Do the support guys at XLN read these forums? That seems to be a little odd. I didn't see anything about the need to restart AD in the manual.
