Symphony #9

Last summer I posted the 1st movement of my new symphony.  Below is the a link to the 2nd movement.

Thanks for posting Jerry.  As before, your work is brilliant.  And beautiful.
 
However, I find your music player app to be difficult to use.  Skipping ahead or backward doesn't seem to work, and sometimes crashes the player, sending me back to the beginning of the long movement without a way to get back to where I was, without listening to the whole thing over again from the start.  Do you have an alternative streaming site, or do you offer downloads so I can use my own app?

Yes, I noticed this and have to find the time to upgrade the flash player.  It's on my to-do list.
I don't have downloads available until I complete the entire piece, which will be on my next CD release with downloads available from all the major music download sites.   I post the 2 movements on a very few selected sites as a courtesy to those people who are interested in this kind of music.

I noticed you have a Soundcloud account.  I'm now following you, just in case you might place any of your symphonic music there for streaming.  They offer decent statistics, and only allow downloads if the artist grants permission to do so.

I think what is going on with my flash player is that my server needs to disable "chunked transfer encoding", which I've already asked them about.  Then it will work as you expect it to (and I expect it to!).

Thanks to Walt, I looked into my flash player's woes.  New server migration, problem resolved.  Sorry to those who had to find track navigation annoying.  Fixed now, so enjoy listening!

Cool stuff. I found the player a bit jakey as well, but your second link seems better.
 
There is no basis for comparison, I find, when one attempts to "critique" a classical/symphonic composition. Is it Beethoven or Mozart or ??? ? Really, what's the point of a comparison? What you have created is much more like a fingerprint, very individual and idiosyncratic to you.
 
You have amassed quite a collection of musical ideas, which is impressive, and have arranged them into a symphony, which is even more impressive!
 
I would say, to do what you have done takes, and here I paraphrase Mahler, "utter balls." Nice work!

Since I never heard 1st Movement I just finished that one. Very nice stuff.
