The Boss - a new tune for President's Day

I haven't done any serious editing of this latest tune. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Very dissonant tune was that your aim.

Thanks for listening and your comments drma and Wookie. My wife says sorta the same thing like "I don't like jazz and that dissonance".
The reason you hear some dissonance is that I used a jazz flavored chord progression to create "The Boss" that contained D7B5, DMIN7B5, AMIN7B5, EMIN7B5 and G#6 along with other more commonly used chords. My thinking is that by using these chords it would add a little spiice to the tune like cayenne pepper and make it more interesting. However, I'm sure this one won't make the "top 40" on the radio.
Wookie: I hope it's a lot warmer over there in UK. It was 0 deg F here in Maryland, USA with wind chills way below zero.

I could hear the emphasis on the flattened fifth which I quite enjoyed, it would have been nice to hear it weave a little more harmonious in the links but overall it achieves slightly off the wall jazz feel.

Been lucky the last couple of days the winds been from the south but it is now swinging round to come from the north then it will be chilly.

All a bit over my head musically, but it would make a good soundtrack.

Thanks all for your thoughtful feedback. As I said, I don't think this piece will make the top 40 and doesn't really fit into any genre. But this to me was another experiment in trying to tap Sonar's vast array of tools for users.

My niece said that some of the pieces I've done could be used as soundtracks for YouTube videos. If that is the case then I have to worry a little that someone might use them for some off-color video productions.

I listened but I have to agree with my mates up there, it's not really my cuppa.  it doesn't really remind me of "jazz" either, but I understand you're using "jazz" chords for the structure.  to me, tho, the chord progression doesn't seem right even with the dissonant chording.

but what do I know, I'm a dog...I lick things...
