Hello Everyone my question or questions as follow are I have bought Sonar Platinum and I am using the VS100 on

Windows 8.1
64 Bit Operating System X64 Processor
Intel i3 Core- 2120T CPU @ 2.60GHZ

It has installed everything But I cannot hear a thing it has recognized the VS100 also can't use Addictive Drummer 2
I am also using a Yamaha DGX - 505 which the drivers I can't download from Yamaha From the site which are updated to Windows 8.1 64 bit if I use the USB connection as it does not have a MIDI connector, in General MIDI will it work, I am looking into getting a Synth any suggestions. I hope I have explained myself in a understandable way I will call costumer service but I have read they can be a little rude.

Appreciate the Help

Welcome to the forum again.  Customer service is very friendly.  They have been for me over the years. Now I haven't had to call them much but when I have they have been fabulous.

You may need to find a way to download all the drivers you need for your OS and gear. This is essential.

Check under Preferences to see what Sonar has defaulted to for your audio device. Try ASIO first to see if it is working well for your needs. WDM also may be a choice too.

You say you don't hear anything. Please state what you have set up as a project in Sonar. What are the outs and where are they going. They should be going to the VS 100. To start off try loading a demo project. See if it plays back.

As you've found, the driver link on the Yamaha web site is broken, but I found this link on the Yamaha Pro site which works...

    Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver V3.1.3 for Win 8.1/8/7/Vista/XP (64-bit)

    Hope this helps
