I'm sure I'll get slammed for this, but I don't have a problem with Cakewalk's management of the forum, the forum hosts, or the enforcement of policies by humans. My opinion carries no weight with anyone, so whether or not I'm happy is not important to anyone but myself. I enjoy this forum. It's been a great place to hang out, have a few laughs, get some advice, read up on features and techniques, and learn a bit more about home recording. I'm content with the company and with the forum. I have no issues with any of the forum hosts, and there are several that I respect a great deal. Likewise, there are some who are unhappy with the current management of the forum whom I also like and respect. I can understand their concerns and frustrations even if I do not share their opinions. Since the question was asked, however, I thought I'd give my opinion.

I did, but then one of them informed me that "the only ones causing any bad feeling in the forums are those that constantly post how bad things are" and that continuing to express this view "will not be tolerated." So,as you see...not at all over the top or heavy handed so stop causing trouble will you ?

I bought myself a sensible pair of size 10 walking boots the other day. I decided to try them out in the nearby Malvern Hills, so I parked up the motor, donned my waterproof over-trousers, woolly hat and waterproof windcheater and set off up the pathway to the summit of the Herefordshire Beacon. Silly old me, I'd only gone a couple of hundred yards when I realised I'd forgotten my Ordnance Survey Map and my packed lunch. I wandered back to the car, retrieved the forgotten items, and then resumed my journey. After about twenty minutes, I rested for a short while on an old tree stump and ate one of my sandwiches, a rather delicious concoction of wholemeal bread filled with mature cheddar and Branston pickle. I also whipped out my Thermos flask and imbibed of a nice strong cup of black coffee. After finishing my much needed repast, I once again proceeded onward and upwards. As the pathway became steeper, I found a broken tree branch, which I fashioned into a rudimentary walking crook using my Swiss Army Compass. After a further hour's hard climbing, I neared the peak, and again much in need of refreshment, I paused to drink some more coffee and eat my other sandwich, a rather tasty bit of Shipphams fish paste and cucumber on white bread. Once I'd finished my snack, I made my final push on toward the summit, and with a following wind I'm pleased to report that I reached my goal a mere half hour later. To celebrate, I indulged myself in a wee treat and greedily nibbled on a couple of squares of Kendal Mint Cake. Having taken in the view for a while, I continued my travels by heading down the hill toward the obelisk sited some distance away. Anyway, I'll leave it there. I'm obviously rambling.

/justsayin' I don't really believe this is true. I think it was actually started by those who held the power at the time and simply wanted to scare everybody else away from it. There will always be someone good, somewhere, that can bare the load.

I believe there will be an option in the next version of SONAR where you can turn Forum Hosts off. (Naturally some of you have already discovered a way to do this now... )
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!
