[Solved] Copy and paste automation data?

Just wondering if it is possible. I've got a hand drawn wah I'd like to copy to other parts of the song. I tried copy special and paste special, but it didn't seem to do the trick.

Which version of SONAR are you using?

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

Copy/Paste Special should work.
Select the automation lane
Drag across the time line to set the duration of the part to copy (any of the time based selection methods work)
Copy Special with only "Track/Bus Automation" checked
Move Now marker to the destination
Paste Special

scook nailed it. If you want to paste to a different track, don't forget to select the track prior to pasting.

hey darren,
since copy special and paste special didn't work for you, you can also just drag-select with the cursor neat the bottom of the automation lane or lasso select in the automation lane and press ctrl+c then select the position to paste in the track view and press ctrl+v.

I swear that is what I was doing, but today it worked so it's all good.

I cant get ctrl-v to work at all. Nothing gets pasted though I do get the paste event added to the undo menu.

Thanks for the help guys.
