Platinum Horrendous (non-existent) Download speed

I purchased Sonar Platinum last night and easily installed Command Center and Addictive Drums. However, downloading and installing Sonar is painful. I've been at it since early this morning and the download keeps stalling. On my third try today and the download has been at 2.22% for three hours - I got up to 26% before the download stalled the first time I tried. I've got no trouble downloading anything else - ISP download speed checker says 17MB/sec. but nothing is happening.

Any suggestions? I'm happy with X3E - this bad enough for me to ask for a refund.

Are you using a download manager or a browser with a download manager? If you are downloading with IE try switching to Firefox (which has a built in download manager).

The download is being done via the new Command Center. I'm not aware of any other way to get the latest product versions.

The only other report about slow download with C3 I recall is http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3173946

The installers can be downloaded directly from your store account but bypassing C3 is not recommended. To do so, go to https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Products and open the connected products section. Clicking on the products generates download links.  I have not tried this but it may be possible to copy downloaded installers into the C3 download path and have C3 pick up from there. I know under other conditions, C3 sees existing installers in the download path and will use them instead of downloading again if it can confirm the files are the correct ones.

So far all is good with me, fortunately my bandwidth is holding up. 16 files currently downloading...

Anyway I hope to be fully setup by around next week.
