Looking for orchestral instruments VST for Sonar

Hi,
 
   I'm looking for orchestral instruments plugins (VST) that I could use in Sonar (Artist). There is a very good strings package that comes with Sonar. But I'm looking for winds, brass and other types.
 
Maybe there are already good ones packaged with Sonar, but couldn't find much, at least real good ones.
I found one or two VST plugins on the net but they are either poor quality or synthesized.
 
May be one of you may guide me at some brand names?

    ^That. There are all sorts of orchestra plugins out there but it depends how much you want to spend on them and also how educated you are on how to use them. I personally use East West Hollywood Orchestra but it's not a beginner friendly product.

    Thank you for proposing the products you have. The more products can look/try, the more I'll know which ones best fit my needs.
     
    Btw, I have a strong background in 1) classical music and 2) computers (believe it or not!) but did not practiced real instruments since many years.
     
    I'm no professional, my goal is to have fun at home creating or reproducing musical pieces.

    Since "Cakewalk Sound Center" is included with Sonar Artist, it's possibly the simplest and cheapest to buy a couple of sound expansion sets, like these...

    These sounds are of great quality, they are very cheap and cover everything you need to build entire orchestral performances.
     
    Or, if you want even better sounds without paying too much, you could investigate the "Garritan Personal Orchestra" software, which works as a VSTi inside Sonar.

    If you are on a tight budget I always suggest Garritan Personal Orchestra 4. Good bang for the buck and extremely easy to use. It's weakest point is a lack of articulations but it is very good for meat and potatoes orchestrations.

    If you buy Vienna Symphonic's Special Edition Collections, you will have a very high-quality orchestra without spending the amount required for the full Vienna or full East/West Hollywood collection.
     
    This is not cheap, though.  It is in between cheap and top dollar, but is good enough for anything you would need to do.

    Not sure if you can still get the Sample Tank 2 version of Miroslav cheap but its not bad if you can ST is 32 bit only though if that is an issue - you can probably get it as 64bit with ST3 but I assume it will be much more expensive but not sure.

    +1 for Kirk Hunter Strings (th Diamond Collection has it all.....strings, woodwind, brass, percussion) and the quality of sounds are excellent.

    +1 on Kirk Hunter libraries.  But if money is really tight, you might look at Indiginus Solid State Symphony--here is their http://www.indiginus.com/solidstatehome.html  It is really affordable, and a nice starting point, along with Garritan mentioned above.

    Kirk Hunter's Diamond Collection is my go to realistic orchestra sounds.

    Indiginus' Solid State Symphony is my go to synth orchestra sounds.



    The reason people say the vinyl sounds better is because the music was better.

    I agree diamond is. Nice, but of course you need kontakt. If you want brass and woodwindsid suggest Wivi band. It's fairly cheap, sounds amazing and it won't kill your computer like other samples will.

    BTW, I got my kirk hunter diamond during their sale in June. Bought it for 75USD. I am waiting for the next sale to get concert brass, may concert strings too.

    Sonokinetic Da Capo is a nice ensemble based orchestral set for Kontakt that has great sound and is very usable. It's ensembles though, which some might see as a drawback. I find this to be a most useful tool.
