You know, we were there before things changed back, in early 2012. Unaware of what was going on, we went out to eat on a certain night only to find militaries and security at every corner and military vehicles everywhere. All the restaurants we closed. We then realized it was election night... And kind of surrealistically scary.
 
I wouldn't want to be anywhere near anytime again - things really have taken a scary turn.

I was in Moscow during the first Bush election where they were counting ballots.
