Latest Firefox update (with FF Hello). Yay... nay?

Haven't tried the new in browser chat thingie. Looks interesting. However this release seems to be a little skittish and stuttery.

Whatchyall thinkin' on this? I'm considering rolling back until they hammer out the stutters.

Anyone used the Hello thing? Working alright?

That is all.

Haven't used that feature, but it seems to take forever to load certain pages that used to come up instantly with the last version(s).

There were some Windows updates the other day. Not sure if they specifically did some patching to make FF not be so wonky but it does seem to be less chokey now. The first day or so was pretty annoying but I don't think I'll need to roll back at this point. Still not great but it's better and I'm sure Mozilla are about to release a slew of annoying updates to make me crazy but fix the wonk.

Still haven't tried the Hello thing.

I like it and it works fine for me. Tested it after the update with some family and it works.

This site is painfully slow today. Everything else seems to load quickly as usual.

Haven't tried the skypey type thing, probably won't tbh, but no issues with the rest  - works same as before. I have  had issues with one particluar site I visit since a few updates ago, which will now not display properly unless I use IE tab.  In regular FF tab It looks like this forum does sometimes when the formatting goes all screwy, but always fine with IE tab, so I assume it's a FF issue with that particular forum software or whatever.

Sounds like Firefox is not loading the CSS file for that particular site (when this forum looks all screwy it's because the CSS file is pooched/missing for whatever reason). Maybe Mozilla blocked it or your security/script settings don't allow something they got going on. Like they changed their site code and now it's being blocked.

Either way... that's a stylesheets thing which handles all the formatting for websites these days (unless it's a flash based site which is just plain annoying).

Got FF Hello disabled for now, I might look into it later, if I remember, though I'm likely to forget, oh well.

I prefer to keep all the 'unnecessary Bells n Whistles' to a bare minimum, but of course without compromising security, IMO, less is better (performance).
