[Solved] VST Plugin Manager weirdness

i'm running Sonar Platinum and since the Braintree update I've noticed the following regarding Waves Plugins.

The plugin manager shows all my Waves VST3 plugins listed under VST plugins in the middle column, however, in the Browser they correctly show under VST3..

I only have the VST3 waveshell dll in any scan path and have made sure that no waves plugins are in the VST2 path.

Anyone else having this issue. I'm reluctant to do a rollback as everything is working OK just a housekeeping anomaly as far as I can see

Don't have waves (although it does sound like the VST2 versions are getting picked up from somewhere). Rarely look at the plug-in manager myself. If everything works, I would not be inclined to take any action. That said, if I were moved to do something, before rolling back to a previous version, I would perform a VST reset. The recommended interface for resets and scans is here:

Re:(SOLVED) VST Plugin Manager weirdness 2015/03/02 00:27:12 (permalink)
Yep. That's what my VST dialog looks like, except I have a different location for my VST 2 plugins. I've done the whole reset and rescan. I checked scan failed plugins and scan all plugins. And no change. I've rebooted. when I select a Waves plugin under the middle column of the Plugin Manager and check the location it points to the appropriate vst3 path but remains listed under VST plugins.

    It's the strangest thing.

Edit: I moved a few Waves files around then returned them redid a scan and all works fine again. Weird..
