Miopa- Composition
I had a vision to make something that takes you somewhere else...maybe even to another time.Miopa is the name of the fairy on the pic...cute isn't she? Little did I know that Miopa is also some kind of an eye disease?....so I guess i need to look closer at naming my songs :) Celtic covers a wide territory and it usually isn't what some think it is. I added some of those elements into this. Maybe it could be called celtic fusion since I wouldn't call it celtic in the truest sense. https://soundcloud.com/starise/miopa-composition-by-starise

Very nice song. If I understood correctly miopa is esperanto and means short sight. I also have similar song naming problems. I once named my song Peshmerga and it means a kurd fighter. I changed that to Peshga. I often give my songs bad names because I do not want to use a long time thinking about it.

Outstanding, Tim! There's a growing market in the medical field for this type of music, doctors use it for an alternative pain relief. I think this would fit the bill. Anyway, keep em coming.

It sounded great, super original! But I think it sounded best when the bass was out of it. Was that a bass, or your piano bass notes just really full and loud in spots? The ending was spot-on perfect for what you are trying to do. Your sense of orchestration doesn't miss. The piano sound, what was it? very nice indeed and more importantly, well played. cheers, -Tom

A lotta stuff going on here, Tim. Kept it interesting. BTW myopia is nearsightedness but KAKKU's definition made sense. Seems your skills are getting more honed, buddy, or my ears are getting more honed!

That was pretty cool, Tim. Nice combination of dissonance and consonance, and neat orchestration too. The piano in particularly sounds clear and "Steinway-ishy". The low notes kick.
