Customs gets interested in packages, sometimes just at random. Don't worry they generally keep them a day or two at most and then send them on. You'll see green US Customs tape on it where they opened it and resealed it to let you know it was inspected. Sucks to have a new toy slowed down, but it happens sometimes with international shipments.

It now looks like they released it 11 hr's ago and then released it again 8 hr's ago yet it appears to be still sitting in Newark, NJ. The crazy thing is that according to the original shipment schedule this package would have been to me in 2 days! Undoubtedly one of the quickest shipments I would have ever received over that disstance. I still give Sonarworks a lot of credit on their shipping choice.

I just installed the trial and ran the calibration. I am very impressed with the thoroughness of the tests and especially the end result! It really cleaned up the low end. I'm sure it would be better using your reference mic. I will be purchasing the software/mic kit. Thank you for this product, and thanks to the OP for posting this thread!

I was amazed at how Easy/Quick it is to take the measurements. The software leads you through the entire process! This would have taken me half-a-day using my other correction software. Very pleased with the results so far and have no reason to believe my opinion will change. The frequency correction curve closely resembles my other software yet somehow sounds smoother, less harsh. Very Happy Camper here. Thanks for posting this carl! Kind regards, Rick

I'm net rested in hearing how you guys went with the actual mic and software after using the trial.
Also I haven't heard a single mention about the HD version and what is it that warrants such a high price.

Rudolfs explained it to me like this: "Standard version offers about 2.5dB accuracy with 30 point measurement, 70 points or more in HD version increases this to 0.8db. HD version can also export correction files In open format readable by external DSP interfaces like miniDSP." I'm still using & prefer the standard version (with the purchased mic) over ARC. YMMV

Sonar works speaker Calibration softwareHi, Made a purchase of the sonar works speaker calibration software and for a few days now haven't received a tracking number for my shipment. I think their customer service is terrible as i've been kept in the dark as to information regarding my shipment. They really need to work on that.

Hrodulf Good to hear that you liked the sound, Carl! When we did our beta testing round about four or five testers did direct comparisons with ARC2 and their impressions match with yours. One thing we have and so far no other calibration software offers is headphone calibration. We can ensure that you will have the same reference quality sound on all of your listening devices. It's easier to try out actually - we have average calibration curves for these headphones -
- AKG K141 MKII
- AKG K701
- AKG K712 Pro
- Sennheiser HD598
- Sennheiser HD600
- Sennheiser HD650
- Sony MDR-7506
- Superlux HD681
Sign up for plug-in trial and you will have everything to try it out.
You need to add the KRK kns8400s to that old list... you've added it to your headphone system... I know, as I'm using it!!!!!
