Need help setting up a mic with Roland SD-50

So i recently got a set of MXL 990/991 cardioid condenser mics, and they take 48 volts of phantom power. I planned on using it with my Roland SD-50's XLR3 phantom power input, but I am not getting any sound through my Mic that way.

Here's what i did :
Plugged the mic to the Roland SD-50 to the Mic-In with the 48v phantom power.
Plugged the SD-50 to the power adapter.
Connected the SD-50 to the PC via USB cable.
Made sure that the SD-50 power mode is set to DC/Battery (No Batteries) and the Mic/Guitar setting is set to the XLR input jack.
The power indicator seems to be set to computer instead of battery.

What am I missing here? It seems that nothing is being picked up by the SD-50, the IN Audio meter seems to be stuck on 0. The problems cannot be with the Mics. I've tried the MxL 990 and 991, they both produce the same results, even a generic dynamic mic with no phantom power required isn't putting any audio in.
