Prelim Test of AD2 Fairfax kit: Spurt preset will get you close to Nirvana Nevermind drums

This is the reason I chose the Fairfax Vol 1 kit as one of my AdPak Choices. I just like the drum sound on that album very much. This is only a preliminary comparison to the album Nevermind but the "Spurt" preset included with the Fairfax Vol 1 adpak seems to be very close to that sound.

That is all.

Edit: Not really all but I ain't bumpin'. You may want to set things up so the lower velocity samples are weeded out if you are trying to rock out. Not sure how many vel layers these samples have but Grohl was hitting hard on that album and you'll want the louder hits to mimic it. As it is I'm triggering a lot of low vel samples on the controller unless I'm wailing on the bugger so I will probably constrain things to the higher vel samples whether on the controller, on the Sonar track or within AD2. Not sure which will work best but thought it should be mentioned.

Also "No One Drums" preset seems to be mimicing the Queens of the Stone Age "Songs For the Deaf" drum sound but I have not done a thorough comparison but it sounds about right (I used to cover some of that stuff). Obviously the name is making the implication anyway.
