Audio wave - recording vs recorded
Hi - I am trying to understand something and hope someone can help. I notice a difference between the displayed audio wave when recording and then once it is completed. Is the wave that is being drawn during recording just an estimation or should I expect the recording and recorded wave to be the same? This is a moderate example and the differences in other examples (based on input) can be more extreme. This is from a new project with a single audio track no FX - guitar plugged directly into audio interface. Thanks.

Its an approximation. Otherwise no need to redraw it. The redrawn wave is very accurate.
