RIP, Terry Pratchett

Terry Pratchett, author of the Discworld series among other books, has passed away. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2007. http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-31858156

While this may not seem to be music related, one of his books, Soul Music, was a fantastic poke at Rock & Roll lifestyles and the music biz. He was a brilliant, creative guy and he will be missed.

Ah me. Not unexpected, but still hugely sad. 'Wintersmith; is on my bedside table.

Just finished reading Raising Steam quite recently.  I've read all the discworld books, his earlier SciFi stuff (which is pretty good too), his collaborative work with Neil Gaimen etc.  He's given me many a good laugh, RIP Terry!
