Invictus

You gotta love the power the internet gives us as musicians! Around 2 years ago I met Rich Thomsen through SoundCloud after commenting on one of his tracks. Turns out we were both Sonar users and had similar musical tastes. We began working on tracks together - Remotely. We have never met in person or even talked on the phone - Rich is in the States and I'm here in the UK, but we have exchanged many messages, ideas, songs and files back and forth resulting in several finished songs, some of which Rich has even independently released on iTunes.

Anyway - rambling aside. As we put the finishing touches on our latest tune I thought I would share our last release - "Invictus"

Nice...  big, open and wide mix.  Certainly compressed, but still has nice clarity.

I like the "whispery" vocals.   Nice synth work too all around.   I really liked the "vinyl" ending.

Dude I loved the synth pop!  Great mix.  Maybe add a db or 2 to the vox here and there.
How did you get so many comments in such a short time??

BTW... I heard no pitch drift in any of the synths as one of your commenters said.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the kind comments Tony.

Rich was using a site called CloudKillers at the time we released this track where you sign up to listen and comment on other peoples tracks in return for the 'crowd' doing the same with yours. The more listens and comments you rack up the more rotation your track gets before other users. Its a good way to get increased views, likes and comments but the comments can feel a little forced at times in my opinion. It also quite time consuming and requires listening to a lot of tracks you wouldn't even give the time of day!! ;)

    Cheers

While not really my genre, I have to admit I really loved this.  Good tune and exceptionally strong production.

You know, I met Mark Cline on this board about 8 years ago.  We (The Pugtones) have written and posted almost 40 songs since.  I have never met him in person, which I hope to remedy this year, but we have talked on the phone quite a bit.   It's very cool and I feel like I have a friend for life.  NOW..... As far as your tune.  I love it.  The electronica with the vocals just completes it.  It is very well mixed and played.  I hope you guys keep pumpin' them out. Nothing I Can Do is cool too.
