Did we Lose the Drum Map Solo Functionality in Braintree?

When I first got Sonar Platinum I was happy to see that we could now solo drum tracks when using drum maps without having to solo the midi track.  It seems like this no longer works with Braintree. Can anyone please confirm?

Peace!
Daniel

    Confirmed.

Roll back to previous (1st) release and it works.

Bummer. Hope they get it sorted out.

Confirmed problem with the drum maps and dropped notes, so I had to quit using them. The bakers are aware of the problem, and a fix is coming in the next update. You should definitely file a report on this.

Thanks for your replies all!  Bummer! I was so psyched!  :o(   Resonant Serpent, should I not bother entering a help ticket?   Perhaps one of the bakers could chime in to confirm they're working on it?

    Peace!

I was hoping the drum map solo functionality would have been restored with the Cambridge release but it still doesn't work.   Any idea when this will come back?  Or was it an abnormality in the first release and now it's back to expected behavior?

    Peace!

Soloing of nested synths in Drum maps has not been available in any version of SONAR. It appeared to work in Braintree due to a side effect of the drum map mute bug where mute was not working. It wasn't really soloing at all :)
Smart soloing of drum maps is actually quite complex since it has to determine all audio and MIDI track dependencies and manage soloing them. I've implemented support for it now. Subject to it passing regression testing you can hope to see it in the next version.

Thanks for your reply Noel.  I kind of had a hunch the Braintree behavior wasn't intended since it wasn't listed as a bug fix.  It would be extremely helpful though and I hope to see it in one of the forthcoming versions.  I can only imagine how complicated any of this code must be!   Thanks again for considering it!

    Peace!

Just as long as you're not about to lose control.  Unless you think you like it, of course.

Noel, I don't suppose you've also added some sort of text editable implementation on drum maps have you?  this is something that is so very tedious to do if you need to edit many or all of the cells in the drum map.

While you're at it Noel, why not add some images of say AD2, Slate, TT, BFD3 etc so we can draw from-to arrows.

I suspect the drum map implementation itself will not change. It's just a matter of making the solo function refer to the drum map to determine which instrument track(s) to solo when a MIDI track is soloed, and vice versa.

The UI sad to say is rubbish for drum maps. I think everybody must agree even cakewalk. Apologies for being blunt.
