This is epic, as you described. I really like the choral sounds.

I really appreciate the fact that you are not letting your cancer hold you back completely, from expressing yourself musically, using the gifts that God gave you. Thanks for sharing it.

Having read all of the comments here I felt compelled to check out your composition.

I simply cannot add anything extra to all that has been said thus far. Yes, it is epic, and I really enjoyed listening to it.

I wish you well.

cheers

Steve, Thanks for listening and for the nice comments, they are all appreciated. Yes, I am hanging in there the best that I can. Like any other disease, you have your good days and your bad ones, as well. Have several projects going and will post new ones as I get them completed.

gtrpastor(Sean), Thanks for listening and glad you liked the piece. I wanted something epic, because I believe His coming will be epic in proportion beyond belief. No, the cancer can not stop me, because I always pray His will be done and not mine. Who am I but an ambassador for Christ doing His will and not my own, spreading His good news and truth through a musical gift He has granted me. Praise the Lord for His never ending grace. And, if this body of sin should die, then I shall be in His presence. Amen!! Thanks again for the kind words.

Peace and Blessings, John

John

I must admit I almost never am on this forum due to time limitations, once you get started it can be a pleasurable couple of hours every day but I need that time for work...

So I find it wonderful that I browsed over here this afternoon and see this post while waiting on a fire I have going.

Wow is an understatement! Way to go!

Also, I share your battle in prayer if I am allowed to say that here. Misdiagnosed in 2005, my salivary gland cancer grew to 6" before a Dr. in 2012 finally said something is not right. But too late. A couple of months later (Jan. 2013) I awoke after 6 days in IBC to the words that I had 2-3 days to live. When the doctor came he suggested immediate and prolonged massive 7-8 weeks of radiation to give me an extra year which I took. But with the prayers of my family and local church and community and even some wonderful friends on these forums, it's three years now :)

Finally by February of this year I was able to pick up my guitar again and later, even to sing a little. What a wonderful gift this music is in this world! And how wonderful you are at the helm of that gift :)

So thank you and I walk with you in prayer, if I may.

"I'm just workin' on a good life, the way it is."

Best, Robby K

Wow John. I think you may have just outdone yourself with this one. I think if the Lord appeared in person tomorrow then this is just the soundtrack he might use.  Agree with all the accolades heaped upon you so far in this post. Well done, and my thoughts are always with anyone that shares their life with a chronic illness.

Yes,   Epic is the way I would describe this production. Definitely not your average melody which makes this so intense to listen to.  A nice creative production - no crits here.

This is truly a composition of epic proportions and for me has that Hans Zimmer wow factor. Got to say though I was waiting for some Tubular Bells to kick in somewhere :).

Wow Robby, you got tears running down my cheeks. You have been an inspiration to many in this forum and your singing has blown many in hear away as well. I never knew about your situation and my prayers are with you as well. My doctor gave me 4 months to live and that was a year and a half ago. so it is about prayers, a positive attitude, keeping busy and having good family and friends to confide in. Just be all you can be each and every day and the Lord will watch over you and keep you safe. You have to let the doctors help as well.

Peace and Blessings, John

I'm coming to this late by the looks of it - this is great - it belongs in a movie for sure. The mix is superb - nice and restrained. nice one John.
