RIP John Renbourn

One of the greatest British guitarists of the last 50 years has died, another of my fingerpicking idols! Let's hope he's jamming with Bert Jansch again...

Great influence on many, including John Martyn..who's also dead...maybe they're all jamming somewhere.

I learned how to read music by taking one of Renbourne's books out of the library and slowing picking out the notes of his tunes. By the end of the book, I could sight read and knew all of these cool fingerpicking pieces. Might be time to dig out some Pentangle tonight.
