Bit- I didn't think it was unbalanced; the guitar was in both channels. The right channel was just delayed some. Maybe you have better ears than me. I'm close to finishing a new mix. This time, I put an effect on the right side guitar, so that should accentuate the difference. The vocal seems just a bit too up front to me. I'm thinking of backing it off just a little and eqing it. Please let me know what you think when I post it. Thanks.

James- Thanks. The bass is all MIDI.

This is a really cool song.  Instrumentation is good and mix is good.  I like the vocal best of all.  Really an accomplished vocal.  I like the lyrics.  Great chord changes.  I listened to JMASNO song early this morning (12:03) and it made me move.  Now this song is moving me this morning.  If you didn't sing so well I'd suggest you get Astrud Gilberto to sing it.    Yes, I liked this one.

Pug- Thanks. You're too kind. As soon as I had the chords down and decided to add a vocal, I immediately knew that I wanted a "Paul Simon meets Roger Waters" casual, almost talking style. I'm happy with the way it turned out, too.

I had to Google Astrud. The name sounded familiar but I couldn't place it. Always loved "The Girl..." Really showing our age, now!

I didn't hear the earlier mixes, but I am liking this! The guitar sounds fine to me...nothing wrong with panning hard L/R ...you still hear it in mono and you gain depth which was the goal. Not much more I can add to what's already been added. Nice ! I like the light feel this song has to it...the vox sits well  and is well done!

Tim- Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I'm still messing with it. I tweaked the bass and drum parts, so now I'm remixing. I'm trying to improve the overall sound. Hopefully, I don't lose what WAS working in the process.

Yeah, much better IMHO.   The bass really adds a lot for me, completing the song and propelling it forward.   I like it.    And for me, it also allows the vocals to sit better with the rhythm.
