The problem with most of these is the "rehash" and just a brief explanation of new features..

Tru dat Lar, Eli took some heat for that in the X3 Explained video. If you have the All Access Pass you are not really affected. If anyone views it I would be very interested to hear if it's old news or worthwhile new stuff. Since we aren't going to have a new version every year this might be relevant for a long time. Actually the X1 and X2 videos are still full of good stuff. It will be interesting to see how Mr. Garigus handles the new deal. I would love to see a loose leaf notebook (so it can lay flat on the desk) and get updates 4 times a year with instructions where to put them and what if any to take out.

I pick a few things to check out and do a monthly pass every now and again so no biggie on just perusing the new stuff i.e. mix recall. Rocky

I wish MacProVideo would do some Sonar videos. I like how they do tutorials. Everything is in shorter sessions. Covering a whole DAW would cost you more but I'm hooked on them. They had a deal I took up for $15 a month.

Hi All, It's true, I did take a lot of heat with the Sonar X3 Explained videos. That's one of the reasons I followed it up immediately with a "What's New" series. BassDaddy, you've hit the nail on the head. Yes, with this series I have once again given a "starting from the beginning" overview of the entire program, designed mainly for beginner to intermediate level Sonar users. And yes, we plan on adding to the series when significant new features are added on throughout the year. So hopefully this will be the last "from the ground up" Sonar series I will have to do for a few years. And also yes, I have included some videos of course on the new features. Plus, there is a follow up Sonar Advanced series that will be released shortly, focusing more on the Platinum features. Some old, some new. To keep both video series manageable, I tried to exclude topics that I have already covered in detail in earlier series (like Melodyne , Matrix View, etc). Eli Krantzberg

Eli, I have always enjoyed your work on Sonar and other topics. I am glad to here that you have an advanced series on the way. I had been wondering why VocalSync and Audiosnap wasn't covered on this latest tutorial.

I quite like the AskVideo/MacProVideo tutorials...they do a fine job... I also own several classes at Udemy....which are quite thorough....more so then most...

Yeh, thanks for stopping by Eli! Glad to hear about the advanced videos in the works. Not having a new version every year will change how the educational material comes out as well. Not having to build a new foundation should help us get down to the details. Only two months removed the old way seems kind of wasteful and redundant.

Hi Again All, Thanks for the kind words and support. Yes, AudioSnap and VocalSync (which seem to me like an easy to use stand alone GUI for a specific subset of AudioSnap features) are covered in the Advanced videos. Anything I left out (Addictive Drums, etc) was omitted because it had already been covered in the Sonar X3 New Features (or other) videos. And yes, I too am looking forward to being able to focus in on specific features in future videos now that the basics won't have to be covered anew each time! I have to say, this really is a great version of Sonar. I really had fun doing these videos.
