Sonar new release "Back-out" instructions please?

It is inevitable that some people will find some new issues unbearable -- for me, Cambridge, the new Paste bug makes my work far more difficult, and Braintree was working pretty well.    Can we have instructions please for backup up a version?

It may have been posted before, but don't see it ....

Thanks, any other voices?   I found that "uninstall", before, had unpleasant consequences, taking out plugins that were old, working, and in use.   I'd rather know before pulling the trigger!

Before rolling back, check out this post. Brundlefly believes your paste "bug" is user error.

Yes, but .... for some people, some time, they are going to want to roll back.  The original question stills stands: can some one please give clear instructions for backing up a version, or perhaps for backing up TO a specific version?

Let me know what about lfm's post wasn't clear enough and I'll try to explain further. However if the reason you want to roll back because of a "paste special bug," there is no bug. It was determined to have been user error.

I haven't tested it maybe it will work perfectly well, but looking at how cakewalk deals with upgrades, maintaining settings, and how some of their installers work I'm not surprised about the hesitiation.

But wasn't that because you were uninstalling an older version of SONAR that had plugs not in the newer version? That is why most people advise leaving in older installations (they don't take up much space), unless you're willing to do a custom install of the older material after uninstalling. Also IIRC there are dialog boxes when uninstalling about shared paths and such.
