Exporting mono and stereo stem mixdown in one go

Hi everyone.
 
How about an option in the export audio window that allows to export both mono and stereo tracks in one go.
Let me be more specific. When I mixdown the stems to be sent to the mixing engineer, i use the export audio window and then in the source category I select "tracks" That does the job nicely but exports all tracks as stereo tracks.
Now for example if I have a let's say mono snare drum track, it'll be exported as a stereo stem anyway.
Well, first of all. Am I missing something there? And if not, do you guys agree it's a nice option to have. Saves space, transfer time and it's neater.
