[FIXED - Dorchester] CWBRN-32230 - Step Record and numeric keypad shortcuts

No matter if Num Lock is engaged or not, I can't get numeric keypad keystrokes to do what they're supposed to do during step record.

I have auto advance unchecked.  I want to manually advance.  The manual says keypad Enter advances and keypad . steps back.

Is it really just me?

My reading of the Keybindings dialog is that:

Numpad 0 is Step Backward.

while Numpad . is Enable/Disable Auto Advance.

And I agree that Numpad Enter is Step Advance.

(I haven't tried these in Step Record, however).

Ooops, typo.  Yes, keypad 0 for backstep.  I can't get them to do what they're supposed to do.

Everything works just fine for me, in X3e, BUT does not work per above in the current Platinum - Cambridge.

I also tried CTRL + Numpad Enter, which is supposed to do a Measure Advance, instead turns off the track's Recording Armed button.  Shift + Enter (per the dialog box pop-up text when you hover over the advance beat button), is supposed to do Advance One Beat, but also simply turns off the track's Recording Armed button.

So, it looks like stuff is either changed and not properly documented as to what has changed, or is broken.

I would suggest you consider this a bug and submit it - when you get a CWBRN number for it, Please add it to the thread's subject line.  I will move this thread to the Problem Reports forum, as it has been confirmed as an issue.

I concur that this behavior is not as intended, and would consider the above as one or more bugs.

Thanks,

Bob Bone

Also have this problem here.  Created problem report CWBRN-32451 before searching the forum.  Tried rolling back to the Braintree release and the shortcuts were definitely working there.  Re-installed Cambridge and the shortcuts do nothing.

This is fixed in Dorchester EXCEPT for

Step Advance [Num Enter] still does NOT work.  [Num Enter] by itself does nothing.
([Enter] does properly execute Step Advance)

Thanks for checking.  Now I need to see why [Num Enter] doesn't do anything, but [Ctrl Num Enter] and [Shift Num Enter] work fine ... always something  :)

All better.  I had my key bindings horcked from originally looking into this.  Restored default bindings and all is good.

Dorchester fixed this one.
