[Solved] Channel Tool not working in Platinum
If I try to insert Channel Tools it kills the audio and I have to re-boot Sonar to fix it. Anyone else? rafone

There was another thread with near identical title a while ago, but the OP never responded to questions, so it was not resolved: http://forum.cakewalk.com/Channel-tools-pops-loudly-and-kills-audio-m3178935.aspx I have been using Channel Tools to address that PDC-Not-Applied-to-Sends issue with Addictive Drums, and it's been working fine. Can you reproduce it in a clean project started form the Normal template? Do you have X3, and is it okay there? Have you tried toggling audio preferences like 64-bit Double Precision Engine, Always Stream Audio Through Effects or Multiprocessor support?

On current projects, I'm only using the delay segment of Channel Tools, but I'm not experiencing any problems with it. I have tried inserting it with a project playing (not something I normally do) and it did not cause any issues. I also have X3 on the box with older projects created in X3. I'm not seeing any problems there. Win 8.1, Sonar Platinum (Cambridge), VS-100. Double Precision is off. Glen

I have had the same problem with Channel Tools on an off for ages. Relaunching the project is the only solution. I only used CT to narrow or pan stereo images anyway, and I have found I can do that just as easily with the Flux Stereo Tool which is free (and doesn't crash Sonar).

I had my first Platinum issue a few weeks back after installing Channel Tools into the fx bin of a track (post Pro Channel.) The project froze and all the PC module level lights hit red and that was it. I had to close down project. I re-opened it, re-installed Channel Tools, and all was fine and has been ever since. Really weird. I always use Channel Tools and have never had an issue with it. The only thing I can think of is that I was looping a section of the project at the time, and I know there were some changes made to looping in Sonar. Anyway, I haven't been able to reproduce it since, but thought I'd share.

The only problem I've ever had with Channel Too,s was when some presets went missing, back in the days of X1 I use it on all of my projects.

I had this exact problem a few years ago when Channel Tools was first released. An updated version of Sonar solved the problem. Presumably, Channel Tools was updated. Is it possible that you are running an older version of Channel Tools?
