GUI start to half freeze - and have to restart Sonar

Just three tracks, and a reverb bus with Waves Marroquin on it.
And when adding EQ Kramer HLS with gui up - it start to update gui every 3s or so only.
Performance meter does not show much on Sonar for cores.

It's not just opening and this happends, it need to go in loop for a while.
At least that seems to have something to do with it.

Thankfully, restart of Sonar and it's fine again.

First time I probably ran Sonar for 5 hours or so, recording and fiddling a bit.
Second time I could run 5 minutes and gui start to behave again.
Then next time I ran for 20 minutes and onwards without problem.

Any similar experience among Sonarites?

This might be a latency thing - if you have added the Kramer HLS plugin for mixing, perhaps increasing your ASIO Buffer Size might help.

When I am mixing, I change my ASIO Buffer Size from the 128 I use for recording, to 1024, and then I can use plugins that do look-ahead processing and add enough latency to cause streaming audio performance issues if I used them without making the ASIO Buffer Size bigger.

This is from the user manual for the Kramer HLS plugin:

"HLS latency differs for Native & TDM versions:

Native 161 samples (all supported sample rates)
    TDM 292 samples @ 44.1/48 kHz 548 samples @ 88.2/96 kHz"

Thanks - but think latency would produce crackles, and high cpu or something.
Tried stopping transport and start again, but no different.
Sonar recalculate pdc then as I understand.

I've got other projects I worked with, with about 20 plugins, and maybe 4-5 HLS.
No problem mixing this - but also is a 3 minute song.

That's why I think looping has something to do with it.
This project is only a introtest and 20 bars long, and looping every 30s.

I recently update graphics drivers, windows and also Waves v9r26 installer.

I have a vague memory that there were some issue with HLS and Sonar at some time.
Will try and narrow down further for a bug report later.

Here is the topic I was talking about that includes HLS:

But my graphics are updated a couple of days ago.

Have to fire up old Cubase and move project there and see...

EDIT: Forgot to mention, audio is running fine all the time. Hitting spacebar make it take about 3-4s before stopping.

You could also try cleaning out the picture cache folder.  Sonar will rebuild it, and folks have fixed glitchy scrolling in the past by doing that.  Just wipe out the contents of that folder and launch Sonar, and see if that helps.  It won't hurt you to do this, as it gets rebuilt by Sonar.

It defaults to this location: C:\Cakewalk Projects\Picture Cache

Thank you, never thought of that. That I will try.

I ran it yesterday, both really long project and let it loop for hours, also the same that I had issues with.
But unable to reproduce this erratic behavior. Even adding loads of plugins to it - it runs fine.

But it may be something like picture cache stuff, connected to that I did recording at the time. That I did not do yesterday.

But at the time I had issues, daw was also having network up and internet connection. If that is part of it, that Sonar at times do checks to authorize license when online that inflicts. But have to take notes for a while to see if returning.
