Aria Player looses output assignments (SOLVED)

So my Win7 box died and I replaced it with a new Win81 box.  What a lot of work getting everything back to snuff again!  So I make heavy us of Garrtan Personel Orchestra, both pre and post it all going over to Coda Music.  So right now, when I load a Sonar project what *was* working just fine, it says the VST plug-in ARIA Player (Multi) has changed and wants me to pick it again from the drop-down menu.  Fine.  And it loads okay with samples as expected.....  EXCEPT the output channel assignments are NA.  Actually 1/2 and 3/4 are okay, the but rest (other instruments) are totally undefined.  Thoughts?  The Aria player has been a real pain in the neck, IMHO.

Ahh... no takers.  Let me ask another question.  If you have both 32 and 64 bit versions of a plug-in installed on your computer (like Aria), how within Sonar do you know which one is selected or being used?  I'm now running the 64 bit version of X3 (my old computer was running the 32 bit version).

In 64bit SONAR, 32bit plug-ins have (32-bit) appended to the plug-in name in menus, are shown in green in the browser and required holding the SHIFT key when opening the UI to display the standard VST header.

Also, Sonar sometimes (if the plugin is written properly) only shows the 64 bit version if both are installed.

In the plugin manager view the centre window pane shows the plugins while the left windo selects the type, like DX, VST3 etc. If Sonar is showing both plugins you can exclude one of them. Select VST or VSTi if an instrument and when you click on those plugins one at a time, you'll see the path at the bottom of the plugin manager window and that should tell you whether it's the 32 or 64 bit.

Select Exclude plugin at the bottom left of the left window. It in no way effects that plugin except in Sonar it is no longer visible in any menus.

So I've done some testing.... Does anyone have ARIA_multi *working* were you send an output to ..oh... say 7/8, within Sonar under Win81?  Same steps work under Win7.  Not working under Win81.  (I would love for it to just be user error:-))

    Hi rich-

It's working fine here under Win 8.1 x64. I select "All Synth Audio Outputs: Stereo" when I insert it and I'm able to assign any of the parts to an output pair and the settings are retained when I close & reopen the file. When you re-installed the Player, did you update it to the latest? It's version 1.620 and you can get it here: http://garritan.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5302

You can see which version you have installed by clicking on "Settings" in the Player.

NOPE!  I was only 4 updates short of a totally updated Sonar. After spending the day downloading and installing the updates to become current (my DSL only runs at 3 mbps), I now have ARIA multi behaving correctly. Duh... on my part. ..."

Good news. Would you please edit your first post and include the word (SOLVED) in the title.

This will let others know without having to read the whole thread.

Also make a reference in the first post eg solution in post #7.

    Thanks

Wow, it works now.  Update X3e.  I always apply patches, like another post I saw something must have gone wrong.  This rebuilt computer has been a headache for quite some time.  Sorry to bother everyone but greatly appreciate all the help!  So very relieved.  Please add the ARIA_Multi to your V&V product testing plan:-)
