Everything that was fun about Cakewalk User Forum...

Gibson came along and ruined it.   You made it so complicated to sign into, and use a forum, that people who have been posting for 10+ years...  have basically run away.

Now I return, to see what is going on, and I need to fill out, "yet another stupid form, for yet another stupid log on."  And it kept telling me, "my forum name was unavailable."

I think its time to charge less for the guitars..  You have too much money, and too much time to waste on such, "create yet another log in," stupidity.

Sincerely,

Linear Phase

step away from the keyboard! ;-)
give it some time, cakewalk seem to be moving over to some new system, which did need doing, gibson or no, which includes merging/squashing your forum and store accounts together, but it's all secret so they can't really tell us
f you do have genuine trouble really do contact cakewalk support
but otherwise we can all still post jibber jabber here as before so please carry on :-)
good luck!

I just think its totally obnoxious, that I couldn't get my old forum account to link up properly...  and lost all my post count, and forum clout, and etc, etc...

so..   eventually, if I can find 20 minutes...  I will call support.  but gosh, its a wast of their time + mine.   Since I post so rarely nowadays.   But whatever :-)

Thanks for the anger management course

I've gotten tired of counting how many people come in here claiming to be Linear Phase.

Oh wait.....it appears they claim they own a linear phase.

Hi,

Heck, I still can't login to the stupid Fred from work ... the browser appears to have aspx pages disabled. I'm OK from home.

If they want to limit their audience, so be it ... it's more for them to lose!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Baker 6 - What's that you're saying Noel ? Nah, I'm not buying that - a guy wearing a t-shirt with his own face on it ? That would be ridiculous. Nobody would do that. Are you sure you weren't drunk ?

Baker 6  - Noel, why do you insist on calling me baker 6 ? I do have a proper name you know. You don't call the others by their baker no. do you ? Why is that ? Anyway, you may still have been drunk ya know, it was a pretty heavy night the night before - three of us had to practically pour you into the cab to get you to NAMM on time.
