Naw it's not OpenCL or CUDA. It's probably just very basic uses of OpenGL or DirectX. (Windows UI uses DX a lot. At least for Aero. I'm not sure what Windows 8 uses, but I'm sure it's something GPU worthy with all those fads, scales, and pans on windows.

I use a pedestrian fanless rebraded nvidea dual headed dell card.
The less your video card wants the bus the better with audio.
